⚠ WARNING : Keep the mask magnets a safe distance of at least 150 mm (6 inches) from implants or medical devices that may be affected by magnetic interference. This warning applies to you and anyone in close physical contact with your mask. The magnets are located in the rigid frame and the lower harness attachments, with a magnetic field of up to 400 mT. When the mask is worn, they are connected to secure it, but can inadvertently detach during sleep.
Implants/medical devices, including those listed in the contraindications, can be adversely affected if their function changes under the influence of external magnetic fields or if they contain ferromagnetic materials that attract/repel magnetic fields (certain metallic implants, for example, metal contact lenses, dental implants, metal cranial plates, screws, burr hole covers, and bone grafts). Consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your implant or other medical device for information on the potential adverse effects of magnetic fields.
Contraindication
Masks with magnetic components are contraindicated for patients when they, or anyone in close physical contact with the mask, present the following:
• Active medical implants that interact with magnets (e.g., pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), neurostimulators, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shunts, insulin/infusion pumps).
• Metallic implants/objects containing ferromagnetic material (e.g., aneurysm clamps/flow-breaking devices, embolic coils, stents, valves, electrodes, implants intended to restore hearing or balance with implanted magnets, ocular implants, metallic fragments in the eye).
If necessary, it is recommended to wipe the bubble with CPAP mask cleaning wipes or an equivalent and let it dry. It is recommended to replace the bubble monthly.
**Visual product inspection criteria: In the event of visible deterioration of any of the system components (e.g. cracks, discoloration, tears, etc.), the component in question must be discarded and replaced.
**The bubble must not be submerged in liquid, as this may damage it and affect the performance of the mask.
**The bubble should be discarded if submerged in liquid or if excessively dirty.
